TESSA BARLOW

Tessa Barlow received her M.F.A in Theatre Management and Theatre Producing from Columbia University and her B.A.H. in Theatre from Queen’s University where she focused on stage management. Prior to joining Janis A. Barlow & Associates, she spent five years working in television for the Canadian dramatic series Traders and The Associates and the television movie Justice (all produced by Alliance Atlantis Communications). While attending school in New York, Tessa concentrated on company and general management, interning for commercial producers Stone Productions and E.G.S. Management, and for the not-for-profit Atlantic Theatre Company.

 

Tessa co-wrote the story for "Heart’s Desire" (episode 214 of The Associates) as well as a short play entitled Raising Our Voices which was performed in April, 2002 in Toronto at a benefit for the Canadian Landmine Foundation and the Landmine Survivors’ Network.  Raising Our Voices was subsequently performed by the cast of THE WEST WING at a benefit for the Landmark Survivors' Network held in Los Angeles on April 12, 2004.

 

Tessa is currently the Coordinator, Creative Management and the Academy for the Shaw Festival, located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
