Austin Theatre Alliance, the 501(c)3 parent company of the recently merged 1,300-seat Paramount and 300-seat State Theatres, is pleased to invite applications for a highly experienced Executive Director qualified in non-profit arts administration. 

Austin Theatre Alliance (ATA) currently presents, produces and exhibits a varied program of theatre, music and film, and serves as a rental venue to a number of community user groups.  Its current annual budget is approximately $3 million.  For more information about the Austin Theatre Alliance see: www.austintheatrealliance.org.

The Executive Director is accountable to a board of directors and has the ultimate responsibility for all aspects of institutional development and resource management, and for ensuring that the operation meets all of its strategic programming and budgetary objectives.  Some of the specific challenges of the position will include: long term planning and organizational re-structuring; community relations; board liaison; income development; and management of a full-time staff of 24, including a Director of Programming on the presenting side and an Artistic Director on the producing side.

ATA is looking for a senior executive with exceptional leadership, human relations and community outreach skills.  Applicants should demonstrate a proven ability to successfully manage a not-for-profit arts institution, and to guide and inspire their board and staff.  At least five years experience in the management of a mid-sized, multi-venue performing arts facility will be considered an asset.
